the 80s provided a number of highly successful all girl bands that dominated the charts. Bananarama, the Bengles, The go go's. American Girls sadly wasn't one. Though this album is still pretty good. Sounds a bit like a grown up Debbie Gibson with a touch of Prince influence

Rae Bourbon - Ladies of the Burlesque

One of many gay underground independently released lps from drag / burlesque performer Rae Bourbon. Quite risque for it's time (late 50s early 60s). Rae's story is epic in it's bizarreness tragedy and hype :) His book "Don't Call Me Madam" is an awesome read. This lp can be heard on archive.org but this vers is a 360kbps rip from my own vinyl. Not to eveyone's taste but as rae so eloquently put it "one man's meat is another man's cigar"
