One of many gay underground independently released lps from drag / burlesque performer Rae Bourbon. Quite risque for it's time (late 50s early 60s). Rae's story is epic in it's bizarreness tragedy and hype :) His book "Don't Call Me Madam" is an awesome read. This lp can be heard on archive.org but this vers is a 360kbps rip from my own vinyl. Not to eveyone's taste but as rae so eloquently put it "one man's meat is another man's cigar"
songs strip queen, parade queen, cocktail time, anne fanny bessie tessie and flo, old mrs richbit, three girls at a matinee, forty five, awkward age
Fabulous ep of really bad / unorthodox cover versions of Strobelight (b52's), West end girls (pet shop boys), Head over heels (Tears for fears), skulls (danzig), message in a bottle (police) the latter being truly boggling
The 60s was full of shite albums that where made selllable by putting a pretty nude lady on the front. Cheeky schlager singer Peter Lauch took this to the nth degree by creating a for page magazine with nude pictures of ladies and a sexy story along with his collection of bawdy songs
let us get happening with these happy chappies and contenders for new stars the likes of ken, heino joyce etc...
